The third week of October is Small Business Week, an annual celebration of entrepreneurship that the Business Development Bank of Canada has organized for 45 years. Every year, close to 10,000 entrepreneurs gather to learn, network, and celebrate Canada’s dreamers and doers.
Economic recovery from the pandemic has brought new challenges for Canadian entrepreneurs. With inflation, worker shortages, and supply chain challenges being high on every entrepreneur’s list business owners are finding ways to succeed and grow, all while making their businesses more inclusive and sustainable, and driving the Canadian economy.
The theme for this year’s Small Business Week, October 20-26, is The Power of Small: Defying the Odds. Learn more about Small Business Week on the BDC’s website.
East Hants celebrates Small Business Week with over 600 micro and small businesses in the region. These businesses span a variety of sectors, creating jobs, building our communities and contributing to economic growth.
