Notice of Applications – PLN24-006 & PLN24-002

The Planning and Development Department for the Municipality of East Hants has received the following applications:

PLN24-006: MPS Text Amendments and Substantial Development Agreement Amendment Application, Convent Road, Enfield
An application has been received from Convent Lane Townhouses Inc. to substantially amend its existing development agreement and to amend policies in the Municipal Planning Strategy to increase the number of dwelling units as part of an existing development from 14 townhouse units to 20 townhouse units. The land under consideration is located off Convent Road, Enfield, and is identified as PID 45077070.


PLN24-002: Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw Mapping Amendments, Upper Nine Mile River
Application from Edward Hunter to redesignate and rezone a property on Indian Road, Upper Nine Mile River (PID 45189206) from the Agricultural Reserve (AR) zone and designation to the Rural Use (RU) zone and designation.


Subdivision Bylaw Amendments
Proposal to amend the Municipal Subdivision Bylaw to add a required connection to the Required Future Transportation Connections map and corresponding text amendments to provide a connection from PID 45248192 to PID 45272861.


This is a preliminary notice to inform the public of the proposals. Approval by Municipal Council at a public hearing is required before the proposals may proceed. An advertisement will be published at a later date indicating the time, date, and location of the public hearing and any other public meetings.
