The Province is seeking feedback on the Melvin Lake Wind Inc. (Melvin Lake Wind Project, Halifax and Hants Counties) as part of the Environmental Assessment application. Staff suggest a response attached for Council’s consideration.

Letter from the Maitland and District Volunteer Fire Department seeking funding support to replace their main engine/pumper truck which has exceeded its age for functional uses. A new custom (due to size restraints of the fire hall) truck is estimated at $635,000. Fundraising efforts resulted in a significant amount from the community to achieve a substantial down payment to ensure monthly payments are manageable. In order to achieve this, they’ve identified a critical funding gap. They request municipal support in the amount of $150,000.
