A free tax clinic is a place where eligible people can get their tax returns done for free. These clinics are hosted by community organizations across Canada through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program.
Please note that while clinics are hosted in space provided by the Municipality of East Hants, tax return services are conducted by independent volunteers authorized by Canada Revenue Agency. Other than the filing of your return, information gathered as part of this service is NOT shared with the Municipality or with CRA. Privacy of information is strictly recognized by the volunteers under the terms of service.
Tax return services will be offered in-person at the Municipal Office in Room 168 on April 23 and 24, 2025. Appointments are available between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
If you are eligible to have your return done for free (see below), call 902-883-2299 or email finance@easthants.ca to book an appointment.
Eligible returns may be dropped off at the Elmsdale Branch of the Colchester-East Hants Public Library during regular operating hours. Ensure you include all relevant materials (see below) and your contact information with your drop off package.
