To fully experience the breathtaking power of the Bay of Fundy, visit at both low and high tide.
Burntcoat Head Park is home to the world’s highest recorded tides. Owned and operated by the Municipality of East Hants, the park is open seasonally from mid-May to mid-October.
Check out the Nova Scotia Webcam for a live feed of the tides from the view of our lighthouse.

Accessibility Note: The walking path around the park is made of crushed stone and some mulch. The trip from the parking lot to the lighthouse is fairly easy with some up’s and downs in elevation. The stairs to the ocean floor have centre railings and a viewing platform with benches.
