After a long career in the aviation industry, Christa Lapierre was ready to take flight on a new chapter – one that offered a better work-life balance and the chance to pursue her dream of running her own business. In January 2022, Christa and her husband, Chris, saw an opportunity to fill a need within the community: high-quality, pre-made meals that can be easily heated or frozen. With that, Little Grand Market was born!

From the start, Christa took a thoughtful and strategic approach, researching market demand, navigating commercial kitchen requirements and securing the necessary permits before breaking ground. Her first year was dedicated to construction, skills development, and business training – laying the foundation for her long-term success

The Little Grand Market offers a rotating menu of delicious, ready-to-eat meals, available in both single and family-sized portions. It also offers a unique opportunity for other emerging business by renting its provincially inspected, commercial kitchen. This fully equipped 1,000 square foot space is perfect for menu development, testing, or event preparation.

Now, Little Grand Market is growing again! They are currently working on opening a new retail space in Belnan, giving customers easier access to their meals and creating an opportunity for other local food producers to sell their own products. The future looks bright for this “little” GRAND market!
