– Election of Warden (Four-year term)

The Clerk/CAO explains the process for selection of Warden per the Council Procedural Policy. Council must select Scrutineers for the election. After the election is complete, the Clerk will formally declare the Warden elected, present them with the Chain of Office and ask them to assume the Chair for the remainder of the meeting.

– The Nominating Committee shall consist of the Warden as Chair and the Deputy Warden as Vice-Chair plus three members of Council as appointed by motion of Council at this meeting. Membership shall be held for the term of Council (per the Council Procedural Policy). Councillors interested in serving on Committees/Boards should notify any member of the Nominating Committee.

Selection of Delegation – 2024 NSFM Fall Conference

Council is asked to select their delegates to attend the NSFM Fall Conference at The Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax on November 26-29. Hotel rooms have been blocked for 5 (per budget – Warden, CAO and 3 Councillors). Budget includes $5,500 for this event. Early bird registration deadline is November 1st.
