The Municipality of East Hants will be holding two Public Hearings regarding the following applications:
PLN24-004 Havenwood Drive, Shubenacadie
RYC Property Ltd. has submitted an application to change the land use designation and zone of lands located at the end of Havenwood Drive, Shubenacadie, identified as PID 45097227, to allow for residential development. Changing the zone to Two Dwelling Unit Residential (R2) Zone could enable the development of up to 47 semi-detached structures, for a total of 94 dwelling units.
PLN24-007: Mapping Amendment to the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw – East Gore
This is a proposal to amend the Official Community Plan to enable the expansion of a non-farm dwelling by re-designating and rezoning the property from Agricultural Reserve (AR) to Rural Use North (RU-2). The subject property is located at 2929 Highway 202, East Gore and is identified as PID 45117975.
At the Hearings, Council will consider presentations from persons regarding the proposals.
The Public Hearings will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Lloyd E. Matheson Centre, 15 Commerce Court, Elmsdale. In the event of cancellation, the meetings will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 beginning at 7 p.m. The Public Hearing will also be livestreamed on the municipal website at easthants.ca/livestream.
