Nominations Open – 2024 Municipality of East Hants Election

Municipal and Conseil scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP) Elections

Take Notice that the undersigned will accept nominations for the following offices in the Municipality of East Hants for which an election will be held on the 19 day of October, 2024.

Eleven (11) Councillors, one for each of the following Municipal Polling Districts: (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7), (8), (9), (10), (11).

Nomination papers for East Hants Residents in relation to all of the above elections may be picked up at the office of the Municipal Returning Officer – 15 Commerce Court, Elmsdale, Nova Scotia or downloaded from the municipal website: easthants.ca/election.

Take Notice that a nomination for the office of East Hants Municipal Councillor, within the electoral boundaries of the Municipality of East Hants shall be filed at the Municipal Returning Office, 15 Commerce Court, Elmsdale, Nova Scotia by appointment or drop in between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Nomination Day which is Tuesday, September 10, 2024, or by appointment during office hours (8:30 a.m.—4:30 p.m.) from August 29 to September 9, 2024; and

Take Notice that the Returning Officer for the Conseil scholaire acadien provincial (CSAP) will accept nominations for the following:

One (1) member of the CSAP for the Electoral District of Truro which encompasses a number of municipal units including the Municipality of the District of East Hants;

And Further Take Notice that electors in the Municipality of East Hants will elect one person to be a member of the Conseil scholaire acadien provincial and a nomination for that office shall be filed at the office of the Returning Officer – Kenneth Henderson – Town Hall, 695 Prince Street, Truro, Nova Scotia, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Nomination Day, Tuesday, September 10, 2024, or by appointment on August 29, 30, September 3, 4, 5, 6 and 9, by contacting 902-898-2020 or elections@truro.ca.
