Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

The East Hants Aquatic Centre, is an inclusive and fully accessible aquatics facility featuring lap pool, leisure pool, lazy river, hot tub, waterslide and climbing wall. This state-of-the-art facility provides East Hants and surrounding areas with a diverse variety of aquatic programming and other recreation-based activities.

We are accepting resumes into a candidate pool for Lifeguard/Swim Instructor positions on our Aquatics team. Lifeguards/Swim Instructors are responsible for performing lifeguarding duties, ensuring the safety and supervision of patrons and instructing swim lessons.

Candidates must have the following certifications:

• National Lifeguard with Intermediate Workplace First Aid with CPR Level C
• Lifesaving Swim Instructor, within 6 months of hire, and a willingness to instruct lessons
• The ability to champion a welcoming and inclusive environment for all staff and visitors
• Clear child abuse registry and vulnerable sector checks

Lifeguard Hourly Rate: $17.50/hour

Instructor Hourly Rate: $18.50/hour
