Emergency Preparedness Week

May 6, 2024

May 5 – 11, 2024 is Emergency Preparedness Week

Be Prepared. Know Your Risks

Being prepared for an emergency starts with all of us. You can take action to make sure you are prepared and ready to protect yourself, your family and your community during an emergency.

Here are some things you can do to be prepared:

  • Understand the potential risks in your area.
  • Build an emergency kit! If an emergency happens in your community, it may take emergency workers some time to reach you. You should be prepared to take care of yourself and your family for a minimum of 72 hours.
  • Create your own emergency plan and discuss it with your family.
